The Creative Moment a workshop with corey fischer You’ve learned that you can’t step in the same river twice. But even so, putting your feet into the water can become a dry habit sooner or later. What happened to the exhilaration and excitement that carried you so far along your particular Journey? Maybe you need to [re] discover play. In Sanskrit it’s called lila. And it carries a lot more meaning than the English word: play as creation, as delight in the present moment. I’ve been
doing my best to engage in lila and creativity for the last forty
years or so, finding my way down and into that molten core where
creative impulses start to flow. My vessel has been theatre – as an
actor, writer, director, improviser and teacher. I’ve also found great
joy in clay and paint, with pencils and cameras, with drums and guitars. You’ll leave with packets of metaphorical seeds to plant in your imaginary garden. (The one that poet Marianne Moore said must contain a real toad.)
